How to be a winner in life!

First and foremost ask God! Last night, our church has a weekly volunteer project called “Streaming Waters” to help various community members that may be behind or need some assistance in home projects such as roofing, gardening, gutter cleaning, rock work etc. etc. Our crew removed a bush and replanted a desired plant in its place along with spreading bags of good black topsoil spread evenly around the entire assortment of plants. Also, river rock goes near the foundation to create positive grade around the foundation of the “habitat for humanity” built home. My background is in home inspection services for PREMIER HOME INSPECTION SERVICES LLC. in Macomb, Illinois and surrounding communities. The teaching point here is when you serve others that are in need, God provides you with so much in return, do it you will see….

To be a winner in life on our earthly existence, it’s quite simple, follow the first five words of this post. If you are on the fence about church that’s OK, but try it you’ll get a warm, good feeling when you serve our God. Believe, believe, believe. We are all blessed with special spiritual talents and skills from God, we need to sift out the extraneous stuff and do God’s work. I know this will seem a little heavy duty for some, but trust in the Lord and he will show you the right path.

For those baby boomers out there, we always have challenges we face (remember I’m one of them age 54 with a B-Day July 11, 2010) perseverance, dedication, desire, determination we all know them but do we REALLY focus on them 24 hours per day (7 hrs. sleep is enough right?) it’s difficult. I believe in this hectic schedule we all have inherited, time management is key. Also, establishing a good balance of mind, body and spirit is essential. Check out the 168 hrs. per week post where I share some insight in the time management principles.

Now, how does this all transition into being a winner in life? Well….follow the Masters’ (God) directions through silent prayer and scriptures. I use the pamphlets: My Daily Bread, Upper Room free, online devotions etc. etc., you will be amazed at how an issue is addressed that may be tugging on your mind. Then with God’s help will be addressed in almost a magical way. The timing often is unbelievable and often unexplainable. Now then, this concept shared with you when properly executed can be the ticket to success and prosperity. Focus on the present, change what you can control, formulate a collective plan, then simply execute that plan. This plan must be crystal clear in your mind, put affirmation scripts you can read daily or photos on your refrigerator. Hopefully you…won’t see it too often, that means you may be eating too much (ha, ha). This will create a win / win situation in business and personal relationships, so both parties our friends, spouse, business associates etc. etc. get a piece of what they desire and ultimately you will get what you desire, thus you both are WINNERS! The key is, it takes two to tango, so work with people you can trust, the scripture says guard your heart because lets’ face it, there are people out there that given the chance will want to tug at you. You need to build that trust and be
convinced this person is true to their word, then you can proceed. I’ve seen this in the work place, socially, church, etc. etc.

Ladies and Gentlemen there you have it, I do do motivational speaking engagements and for a contractual arrangement will speak to your group or organization. Best way to contact me is go to email: dmutch55@gmail.com. my associate will assist you. God Bless.

Follow God’s Plan!

Hello everyone:

As mutch anticipated here is the post of all posts’! The schedule has been full as I like it. I’m reminded of the late local sheriff who when on a stake out at the coal mines, he said to me Don, I can’t complain about my hours, I work them all. I can relate, as my schedule reflects that also. But I suppose if you are going to be the President of the United States of America you hardly sleep because somewhere in the world people are awake and busy! Although, I must say, working smart and time managing your schedule you can find a balance and that is what we work on daily! Faith, family and friends is so important to keep that in perspective in our earthly lives.

As for my title statement, God is working in my life and my families lives in so many great ways…. My daughter graduated from NIU with all A’s her entire high school and college years, she is a very hard worker and has a passion unparalleled by others…quite frankly she is the best! Am, I a proud dad absolutely! My son also had all A’s this semester and continues to amaze us with his business maturity beyond his years. My wife and I are so proud of them both and look forward to what the future brings for our entire family.

Ok, at this point in time God’s plan is on schedule, focus, determination, drive, desire are the engine components driving the ship to prosperity. With God’s steady hand and compass the eagle is flying high! My prayer is you and yours are being coached by the master our Lord and Savior. I hope all the mothers had a special Mother’s Day with there church families, immediate families and friends. I gave two Children’s Sermons at our church, visited mothers and fathers at the nursing homes and distributed red carnations to residents and staff that work so diligently to serve the residents.

Reading, studying the Bible is the best way I know how to help you with your walk. Prayers, daily devotions, steadfast love for our families can be so powerful on this earthly planet. As this message is view around the world remember a SMILE is the universal language. Be of a servant heart, and honor God with caring for others. We all face numerous challenges in our daily lives but always be positive when the crowd may be going in another direction. A helpful tip ask for God’s help, and feed your thoughts with positive affirmations…

As always enjoy hearing from you, good or bad that is what is so great about the USA you can speak your mind and because of our great service men and women we enjoy the freedoms that no other country can match. We as a nation are blessed and God bless the United States of America. Until the next post, keep your head up, smile and do God’s work on earth, you will be glad you did. God bless you. Until  later….

“President of the United States of America Don Mutch”

Hello all,

Do I have a dream, absolutely!  This is one of them. 2012 is a ways off, but with God’s wisdom and guidance this absolutely CAN become a reality stay tuned…

To reflect I remember a handful of words of wisdom as a 10 year old my dad said “be fair and honest” with people you meet.  Also, at a father and son church banquet at the time an NFL QB for the Green Bay Packers Bart Starr said remember the 3 D’s Desire, Determination and Dedication oh so true… Also, I can remember  reading one of my favorite authors Lou Holtz saying, “the only way you will change who you are is the people you meet and by the books you read.”

My family will say Dad you’re over the top again, but frankly to get big results you must be in a mindset to THINK BIG. I love people and I love solving problems especially for a broad range of people whether young and old, rich or poor, USA and the World.  I am a well-grounded young man, 54 BD July 11, 2010, and frankly in the best shape of my life, thanks to the best personal trainer on the planet,  WIU Kinesiology senior student Taylor.  Hire her, she is the absolute best, my highest recommendation.  My energy level now is through the roof and I’m told their is a sequencial pattern to this and I believe it, coming from a friend of mine who is an “IronMan.”  You all know or maybe you don’t,  I preach literally and figuratively HEALTH is your WEALTH and that could not be more true than it is to the Baby Boomers of the world of which I’m a strong part of.

Do I believe my title statement, absolutely, will it happen yes, am I confident, yes, am I a can do person, yes, am I a man of faith yes, etc. etc. Truly, we need more statesmen locally, nationally and internationally, and I can be that voice of logic and reason. I tackle problems everyday in my professional, ministry and personal life and continuously set a 17-hour day schedule, ask my wife! She is my rock and best friend and I love her so MUTCH! We have two beautiful children doing very well in their respective  college communities and we as parents are so proud of them, there mom did a great job ha, ha.

Well then please  give me your feedback, good or bad, honesty and fairness is the way I was brought up, by great parents and a loving family. God Bless you all, always keep your dreams alive. This is Don Mutch until next post …. always keep your head up high and soar with the eagles, you can, you will, you must…

What is your 168 Hours Per Week Schedule like?

You know you share something in common with the richest men in the world in Warren Buffet & Bill Gates. What is it, you as they have 168 hours a week .  How you use that time is your business. In working through scenarios as it applies to my life, I broke it down into 10  categories Ministry, Workouts, Work, Spiritual devotions, sleep, grooming time, entertainment, research, retirement planning, Sunday church services. This was an interesting exercise that really brought out how I spend my time and probably helped me access how I can better utilize my time given a particular point in my life.

Also, I wanted to take it a step further to look at it from a life plan moving forward. Being age 54 realistically want to devote time to my passions as part of my 168 hour per week schedule. Then the retirement years which I consider age 62 through 90 to check off my dreams list etc. etc. Then anything over age 90 is a bonus, that is why I bust my tail 6 hours a week devoted to my workout regimen.  I look at it like, making a deposit in the bank, only more importantly for every hour per week you work out, look at it a like a deposit in your health.  After all HEALTH IS YOU WEALTH!

Short and sweet today, hope this post finds you in good health and off to a great 2010. Remember Faith/family/friends I believe a great mantra. Cheers, Don

A gift of thanks

It has been awhile since my last post, I wanted to give you an update. First of all, I want to thank all of you who have commented on my site, your comments are appreciated. It does give me a pulse of what my readers are looking for and if  I’m confident in the subject matter, want to address those for you. I was brought up by the advice of fairness and honesty and I will tell it to you the way I see it, agree or disagree that’s ok.

A topic that I am passionate about as we start the New Year 2010 off,  is I have a ministry that I visit seniors aged 53 through 102 and really enjoy my relationships with them. Over the 28 months I have did this ministry I have lost 22 valued and appreciated seniors that I will forever value their friendships and visits. That definitely is a negative of losing people you care about, but I know they’re all in God’s great hands now.

One such relationship that has been very special for my family, I wanted to share with you. This man is 93 years old and is truly a remarkable human being. Over the years we have developed a great friendship and bond that I will always cherish. John is the oldest known survivor of Iwo Gima. John is a retired Marine and still does 40 push-ups and deep knee bends and large arm circles before he retires for bed. I asked John what his secret for living was and he smiled and said “I had great parents who raised me right and I didn’t drink or chase wild women.”  God has brought a great person in my life and I really appreciate our friendship. I try to have dinner with John monthly, at his hand picked restaurant where he has developed friendships with area rural cafes etc. One comment the other night that especially made quite an impact on me and my college aged son was John said often people don’t want to spend time with older people and that is sad for me to hear.  Please, I ask of you, give that someone who is up in age the respect and love that they so deserve, that is the hope and wish I share with you for the New Year 2010. I did a children’s time as liturgist at our church recently, where I shared with them and the congregation to give their grandma and grandpa or our baby boomer parents a special huge and kiss and tell them how much you love them and how important and special they are.

I hope all of you enjoy the New Year 2010 and find joy and happiness in all you do. Remember Faith, Family and Friends and you are blessed by the Master. Cheers, Don

“Results from Mileage Maxx Product”

On my October 26, 2009 blog found on www.DonMutchOnline.com under the article “Exploring How to Get Better Gas Mileage” I promised to keep you abreast of my actual results of using the product Mileage Maxx. I am happy to report it has been effective and thus would recommend it to you. You can purchase the Mileage Maxx product by going to www.drmfuelbooster.com.

First, I need to tell you my vehicle is a 2004Toyota Sienna Van XLE that from October 15 to present have driven approximately 1500 miles to fall football games in Madison, Wisconsin from Macomb, Illinois and in-town driving in and around Macomb, Illinois. I use 87 Octane gas with a 10% Ethanol Blend.

Here is the data collected beginning October 15, 2009 with the start of the Mileage Maxx fuel additive that cleanses your engine initially and improves the overall workings of your engine. Here are the numbers of miles per gallon prior to using Mileage Maxx to simplify I will give the lows to highs miles per gallon. First before Mileage Maxx mileage per gallon were 15.31, 18.05, 20.83, 20.85, and 22.56. Then after Mileage Maxx my data was 16.30, 16.47, 17.59, 19.33, 19.52, 19.29, 20.91, 21.62, 25.00 and 27.87 miles per gallon.

It is important to note that when you first begin the Mileage Maxx product you will see an initial decrease in miles per gallon this is due to the product is cleansing your motor to ultimately make it run more efficient. And it is important to note that during your first two fill ups you need to add 8 oz. of Mileage Maxx per 10 gallons of gas.  Given the results of my on-going testing I can give a positive recommendation of Mileage Maxx is effective and can help improve your gas mileage. Therefore, I hope you found my results helpful to you and assist you in making your own decision on trying the Mileage Maxx product for your own vehicle. Therefore when Mileage Maxx claims the product will improve your gas mileage 5-20%, I can confirm that claim.  CLICK HERE to get your Mileage Maxx product.

Baby Boomer Retirement Planning Tips

Don Mutch here:

A lot of financial news has concentrated on the ongoing recession that we are currently in at what stage is a debatable topic.  This economic situation bears the question, how do you  position yourself investment wise to counter this economic downturn? Honestly, everyone’s situation is different and one needs to take a good look and evaluate where there  financial position is at this point in time. Remember, your retirement accounts may look down maybe 10-40% now, but you must ask yourself, do you need the money now? If so, I would consider now look at all your retirement savings accounts and see which ones that have the least draw down and consider taking out the money in a 3-4% withdrawal rate. The actual percentage will be determined by what type of standard of living you want to live in initial golden years. Yes, I said golden years, this still can be with proper money management an exciting time for you and your love ones.

The reason, I suggested withdrawing from other retirement saving first is, give the market time to eventually turn in your favor. Historically, the  stock market with time is on your side, it all boils down to what is your timeframe of when you need the retirement funds. I would also suggest your asset allocation depending on your timeline until retirement be in a fixed income low risk type of investment until the market turns in your favor. Risk tolerance needs to be accessed and the general rule of thumb is as you get older, your asset allocation should  steer towards lower risk capital preservation type investments.

Do I recommend discussing this with a professional advisor, absolutely. But one caveat you do not, I repeat do not have to do necessarily what they say. Remember this is your money, and you  ultimately are responsible for it. Looking at all your options is what the professional financial advisors do for a living so hold them accountable.  Am I serious on this account damn right I am.  Also with your own due diligence and research you then can make an informed decision. Hopefully, this has been some basic baby boomer retirement planning tips that can assist you in planning this important time in your life and help you enjoy the fruits of your many labors. Good luck and let me know your comments on was this information useful and topics as baby boomers you would like to learn more about…. this is Don Mutch signing off.
